Organic by John Patrick
Beginning in December 2010, up until February 2011, I worked closely with designer John Patrick in a collaboration effort to present an image for the Fall/Winter 2011 season. The collection was very well received, and my knit designs were mentioned frequently within press coverage. Techniques, some of which I had never experimented with before, include intarsia, fisherman's aran/2x2 cable combination, fully-fashioning, circular knitting, various felting processes, and intentional change of needle size several times within on piece. Also, I developed three foot needles, in order to knit some of the garments, like the sweater coat seen below, all-in-one piece.
